A LITTLE ABOUT ME
Joel Santana
I’m a character designer/painter, collector of hats, and a married father with two kids. Throughout my career I’ve been super fortunate to create freelance work for CHAMPS sports, Walt Disney World Orlando and other great clients. I’ve been published in Communication Arts Illustration Annual 2016 & full page in 2017, MTVnews.com and Huffington Post UK. I’ve also worked for in-house teams and advertising agencies creating illustration for advertising as well as packaging and toys.
Aside from creating I’ve also mentored junior artists and co workers, taught workshops, give talks to art students at local Universities, teach a class on SKILLSHARE, review products for WACOM and participate with the local AIGA group speaking to young creatives. I have a passion for visual storytelling and like to share with other creatives every chance I get.
